H.E. Mr. Akio Suda, Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka will make a short visit to the Eastern Province from Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th August 2004. The Ambassador will visit Batticaloa after attending a ceremony at the Base Hospital in Monaragala.

In Batticaloa he will meet Government officials, Non Governmental organizations, and SLMM officials to exchange views on the matters in the Eastern Province. He will also visit the area Commanders of the Sri Lanka Army.
