In keeping with the Government’s commitment to commence talks with the LTTE, Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera will be meeting the Foreign Minister of the Royal Norwegian Government Jonas Gahr Støre in Hong Kong on 15 th December 2005 to discuss modalities.

The Minister will be accompanied by Mr. H.M.G.S. Palihakkara, Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Dr. John Gooneratne, Secretary-General, Secretariat for Co-ordinating the Peace Process (SCOPP) and Mr. Shanaka Jayasekara, Director(Policy), SCOPP.
