On behalf of my government, I wish to congratulate you on the elections in Sri Lanka and your election as President.

Norway looks forward to continuing our support and co-operation with the people and the Government of Sri Lanka. We remain willing to facilitate the peace process for as long as the two parties request such assistance, and for as long as it is possible for Norway to play a constructive role.
