Prime Minister responds to Norwegian Foreign Minister

On Wednesday May 28, the Norwegian Embassy delivered to the LTTE a copy of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s letter of May 27 to the Norwegian Foreign Minister Jan Petersen. The Prime Minister was responding to the letter Minister Petersen sent to him, with a copy of Mr Anton Balasingham’s letter of May 21 addressed to Norwegian State Secretary Vidar Helgesen. In his letter, Minister Petersen has requested the Prime Minister to respond to the proposal made by the LTTE leader V Pirapaharan, to establish “a new innovative structure for the reconstruction and development of the north and east”.
