THIRD NEGOTIATION MEETING FOR THE PEACE PROCESS IN SRI LANKA
 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is arranging the third negotiation meeting for the peace process in Sri Lanka in Oslo from Monday 2 December to Thursday 5 December. The two negotiating delegations are being headed by the LTTE’s chief negotiator, Mr Anton Balasingham, and the government’s chief negotiator, Professor G. L. Peiris. Norway will assist the parties, and the Norwegian delegation will be headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Vidar Helgesen.

The meeting will take place at the Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel. A press centre will be set up at the hotel, and will be open from Sunday 1 December. There will be a photo opportunity on Monday 2 December, provisional time 15.00. A press conference will be held at the end of the meeting, at 15.00 on 5 December.

The next negotiation meeting will be held in Thailand in January 2003.
