Ceasefire Agreement Remains in Force

In the context of comments made by Elilan, the LTTE Political Head of Trincomalee on the status of the Ceasefire Agreement, officials of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Colombo have confirmed that neither the GOSL nor the LTTE have informed of any change to the status of the Ceasefire Agreement.

Any change to the status of the Ceasefire Agreement must be communicated to the Royal Norwegian Government in terms of Art. 4 of the Ceasefire Agreement.
